WPRSG’s first Progressive Development Training School Progressive Development Training School is set to start March 20, 2015 at the Highland Ridge Arena in Okotoks, Alberta.

Our training clinics are offered over three day weekends, with each rider receiving instruction for one day, with a new group starting each day. Our champion cowboys and cowgirls pair with new technology robotic bulls and quad broncs to simulate a realistic bucking action. As each participant progresses, the strength and speed of the “bucking” increases until our instructors judge that the rider is capable of moving to a live animal.

At the same time, the students will learn about the business aspects of our industry, including physical fitness programs, business management, food and nutrition, life skills and personal development.

On a follow up weekend, students will move from robotics to animals that have been selected for their skill level. Once on a live animal, the Academy’s courses will increase in difficulty to develop the rider and stock skills over time.

The registration fee for the first school is included when you buy your Rider Membership, which is required to attend.
